Poll question: Tonight's flamebait debate: autographs of people you think are gonna die
My uncle bought Robert Downey Jr's autograph on an online auction back when he was in trouble with drugs figuring he wouldn't make it to fourty and it would be worth something then. Is this an OK thing to do?

1. Yes.
No different than playing the stock market or the horses. It's a bit morbid perhaps but it's legitimate.

3. Well,
Considering Mr. Downey is alive, kicking and seemingly sober, it was a waste of money, but who am I to judge:7

5. Wait, what?
I don't get it... He wants to sell the autograph? What is the problem? Robert Downy Jr is not dead yet?

6. I don't think he's sold the autograph...
...but he bought it when Robert Downey Jr. was in trouble thinking that it would be worth a lot since he figured RDJr would die soon. This was a few years ago, though, and RDJr's still alive.

8. More like, a tragic early death.
I think the idea is that if someone crashed and burned, their autograph would be worth more, plus the payoff would come sooner if you thought their death wasn't too far away.
