How many people here like to get fucked up
I'm not talking about a simple buzz, but drinking to the point where you know you will be hurting in the morning.

1. I laugh at such people. They are my free, in-bar entertainment.
If you are one such person...

Ha. Ha. Ha.

:p

2. That used to be the stated goal with me....every night.
I'm over that shit now. I quit all drugs, alcohol, caffiene, cigarettes, etc about six years ago.

But oblivion used to be my objective.

21. Well, DU, the love of a good woman (my beloved wife), and
a job that requires that I work about 70-75 hours a week (pastry chef), are all my substitute "inebriates."

I first discoved DU's addictive properties around March of 2003 (the run-up to the Iraq War). Funny how tragedies like that and the election can lead you to refuges such as this.

25. I agree,
tragedy brings like-minded people together. I hate that fucking war. Good for you that you have a good woman. Take care of her.

Irish, ya know..... But it is always on 'my own time'. A good hangover will keep me thinking clean thought for quite awhile.

23. I'm getting close now...
Took pictures for the band I always shoot for. Stayed sober enough there to do what I went there to do. At last call pounded two Long Island iced teas. Drinking Red Stripe at home now.

Yes, I do go beyond responsible drinking sometimes...

27. It's like they're making fun of themselves
I can't explain it, but a couple of jamaicans, with extreme accents, are trying to sell red stripe key chains and t-shirts. It's hilarious.
Red Stripe is a pretty popular beer in Miami. We got a lot of Jamaicans here.

29. I'll look for it. I was there for three weeks about 15 years ago.
My father was on diplomatic credentials there so my friend and I hung out at the pool at the Pegasus in Kingston for about a week.

I drank a LOT of Red Stripe...
