Forgive me father, but I was tempted by a Christian
Pull up a chair for a short story. Let me tell you about my trip one time to Tennessee ten years ago.

My boss at the time and I took a working vacation down south during American Thanksgiving. He was meeting with the Gaither people to tap into the lucrative Gospel market and join up with his girlfriend who was splitting her time between Nashville and Toronto.

My first day in Nashville I joined up with them and we went for a drink at a local bar. A couple of barstools away was a beautiful blonde girl sitting by herself, pure as the virgin snow. We struck up a conversation. She told me she was from Lebanon TN, a Christian, alone and spending Thanksgiving by going out and handing sandwiches in brown paper bags that she made at home to give to the homeless.

Since I was alone, we invited her to join us for dinner, our treat to return the kindness at the Longhorn steakhouse. During dinner she um, ran her foot up my leg. Footsie isn't something I usually do but, when in Rome. Dinner proceeded to drinks in Printer's Alley, and we met the local icon guy with the colostomy bag, forget his name. We stopped at the Wild Orchid Lounge, then a dance club. We made out for much of the night. It got heavy when we drove back to my boss's girlfriend's place in her beaten up K car and carried on in the back seat.

She had the time of her life that I don't think she was ever treated to. I haven't seen her since that wondrous night but I've never stopped thinking about that sweet little thing.

1. What a great memory!
Sorry you lost her, but what a memory to carry around!

Assuming this is a good thing for you, and not a source of profound suffering. If suffering, please forgive my note of goodness.

2. Nah
We were from completely different worlds, it wouldn't have lasted which I pretty much resolved to. It's just nice to think about her and that night especially during this time of strife, blue against red, north against south, etc.

3. Handing out sandwiches to the homeless?
Sounds like a real Christian, not like the Kkkristians running our country today.
