Okay, I think the Simpsons is toast.

No pun intended.

2. Yeah, but only 'Family Guy' tried to mix reality with the utterly surreal.
And as a result, Family Guy is only half watchable.

Simpsons going down the same path is not a good sign.

And, yes, I am a Futurama fan. However, it's mostly surreal with some reality-based in-jokes so it's okay. O8)

5. Simpsons has been toast since shortly after season 10.
These new episodes lack a good plot and good characters. HOmer doesn't even say "doh" anymore. He does some sort of "dooooooooooh" and a "Wahhhh?". Shame. I wish they would just put it out of its misery already and let it die with some dignity.

7. I think at this point, they're just greedy for money.
That's why Futurama was so great. There were still people actually interested in making a good show working on it. But Fox didn't even give it a chance. 1/2 the time it was preempted by football and the time it was on kept changing around. Now they're doing the same thing to King of the Hill. They WOULD do the same thing to the Simpsons if they could, but people would raise hell.

Simpsons season 16: Oh so very tired.

4. Or how can he? He's the second dumbest guy alive.
Next to Peter Griffin, of course...

8. I did like Marge's line
"I prefer a t-shirt with a simple joke, like "support our troops."

9. That one got on my nerves, but I've found tonight's episode to actually
be somewhat funny. Better than last week's waste-fest, that's for sure.

10. Why would it get on your nerves? It was a perfect indictment of the
typical person that would wear such a t-shirt. The majority of the people who wear t-shirts that say "support our troops" are a joke. They're the same ones that do everything BUT support our troops.
