My Chinese dinner taught me how some people ruin things for others...

I went to a chinese buffet for dinner. All was well, then just about the time I wrapped up another lady went to pay. She refused to pay the price for the dinner buffet...because the sign says the dinner buffet begins at 5:00 and she got there at twenty after four. We're talking a difference of about four dollars here. So, she gets into an argument with the manager..who speaks poor English and then she walks out with the manager behind demanding she pay. I heard them yelling on the street. Then the manager came back in yelling about how they're not supposed to serve that woman again.

Because of that cheapskate I bet they'll never put the dinner buffet out even remotely early again. I mean the sign isn't the RULES. It's just telling people around what time the buffet starts for christ's sake.

Also....I think I'm gonna die a violent death...I laugh at everything. The whole time this lady was arguing I was in the corner chuckling. SOmeone's gonna kill me one day.

If I get there early and they change to dinner 2 minutes before I leave, I'm not paying dinner price

They put it out at dinner and at lunch. They just put it out like a half an hour earlier for some reason. The sign really is just to give people a time reference and not a set in stone price.

What possible reason could she have for not paying for the buffet if she had eaten at the buffet? :shrug:

BTW, I have the same laughter problem. Sometimes I can control it, but that's been happening less and less as I get older. I think I've stopped caring if anyone sees. I'll probably get killed for it as well. ;-)

The woman got it (Thank god) and she told me that lady is always in and takes the chicken bones with her.

I said "Well...it's no wonder she's eating alone."

13. We have early bird prices

And I can guarantee you there isn't a senior citizen in my town who wouldn't have a HUGE fit if they ordered at the early bird time, but left afterwards. I always ask first, if we're close. But lunch switching to dinner, I don't know, tough call. Taking home chicken bones? That's weird.
