(I dunno, just thought it was interesting, no real point to it)

Stevens puts stamp on more than 30 years as rural carrier

(North Dakota)

Bob Stevens know the country roads around the community Page pretty well. He should...he's driven them for more than 30 years, logging more than a million miles as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Stevens, 59, drove his route for the last time last Wednesday, but plans on keeping his full-time job as maintenance man for the city of Page. In his 34 years, he has broken in nine different postmasters at Page, traveled his route 7,800 times and used about 40,000 gallons of gas while going through several vehicles and countless sets of tires. In addition, he sorted and delivered over four million pieces of mail and over 93,000 packages. Equally impressive is the fact that Stevens logged all those miles and all those hours without being involved in a single accident. For more in Stevens, see the front page of this week's Steele County Press.
