1. I've heard some suggestion that it might be parasites

small nematodes in the brain-they lose the ability to find their way around.

7. Yeah, it probably is.

They probably hear something that other sea mammals don't and it probably irritates them. I just wish they would hurry up and prove this 100% so this won't happen again.

6. I was going to say maybe they are trying

to become land animals. That might be how it works..many die, but one or two eventually make it and become land/water animals.
