What Firefox theme do you use?
I was using Noia 2.0 Extreme, but I switched to Saferfox Expanded 2.3.1 and it's GORGEOUS!

I haven't seen Saferfox Expanded 2.3.1 - is it on the Firefox web site?

On edit: I found it. Let me download it and take a look. :-)

4. You're welcome
It's one of the larger themes as far as file size, but I think it's really nice looking. Very clean, and I like the aqua gel buttons and bars (like the scrollbars) thrown in there too. Very nice.

6. I like that one too.
I used that one for a long time. It's the only one (until saferfox) that I'd use. Made all the other ones look ugly. I still like the tab backgrounds in Noia, but I like the rest of Saferfox a little better, so I switched.

Firefox is fast and you can add "extensions" to the main browser which allow you to add extra features you want/need. You can customize it to fit your specific needs. The themes are pretty nice, too. I love it! :D

On edit: Includes tabbed browsing and a pop-up blocker. I also use the Firefox email companion software, Thunderbird. It's terrific!

10. No conflicts
It runs great on windows and mac both. I run a very tight ship here. I have a hardware firewall and run 2 spyware programs. Since switching to Firefox, I haven't had one instance of spyware under my login. My wife still uses IE and my spyware blockers always catch spyware when she's logged in. I keep telling her to switch.

It's also highly customizable too. Once it's installed, you can download additional "extensions" for it. (They're free) For example, I have one that lets me highlight any text, and query it to google, altavista, dictionary, etc... Another extension lets me right click to add bbcode in a window like the one I'm typing in now, so I can very easily add bold text or whatever. (That one's kinda handy for us DUers. Of course I have the mouse gesture extension installed. Instead of clicking back buttons or whatever, I just right-click and push my mouse left and the browser goes "back" one page, or right-click and up to open a new window, or right-click and down-left to close a window.

Tabbed browsing is the wave of the future. InternetExplorer is WAAAY behind on this one. You know when you have multiple websites open in IE, you end up having several InternetExplorers running independent of each other, and they're all down there on your taskbar? Well, with firefox, you have one instance of firefox open, and all of your open websites are managed via "Tabs" which is really nice.

Give it a try: http://www.mozilla.org

Do you have the Smiley Xtra extension? It's a nice companion to the BBCode. I installed it yesterday. It let's you add smileys to any BBS post just by clicking a button - there's got to a be couple of hundred to choose from.

A few examples:
..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... .....

I also like:

"Quick Note" - it lets you hightlight text and save it to a browser notepad, just by right-clicking. All notes remain until you delete them manually. It's great for copying info or comparing prices from multiple sites while shopping because it automatically saves the link to the web page the info was taken from. Very handy!

"Copy Plain Text" - I LOVE this extension! Many times, I want to copy a lot of text from a page and paste it into Word, but the formatting is also copied when you do that. This allows you to copy the text without the formatting.

Beyond spare, beyond inobtrusive, damn near invisible. Small footprint, too. Just the way I like my UIs.
