It's freaking SNOWING in San Diego right now |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 03:01 AM by lazarus
Just a little bit, and we're up in the foothills, but still.
Weird.
It's almost more like a fog or a mist, but it's falling. Like snow. And it's not nearly cold enough. But I've lived where it snows, and this is snow.
On edit: It's not sticking at all. And it's not that hard, but it's snow.
Weird.

It was 55 degrees yesterday in Bozeman Montana, and not a speck of snow on the ground!

I can't believe it. It's maybe low 40's outside, but what we're getting is what survived the drop, I think. No way it's sticking. This is one of those weird "warm snows" you get sometimes in the mountains.
We're below dewpoint right now, so...

downtown it's in the 50's. But up here in the mountain areas, you get some strange microclimates.

11. It's vertical movement, I guess |

Plus, we're out of town. Lakeside is just a little hamlet, after all. And we're a bit higher up.
Weird how these microclimates behave, isn't it?

My wife (Haele) is from here. She says we're only ten miles (horizontal) from areas that get snow a lot. We're near 1,000 feet, but we're surrounded by much higher mountains.

It's a weird glitch, is all.
Living up here in the foothills, we figure global warming will give us nice beachfront living soon, anyway.
