the late 1970s. I think every guy my age, who was a teenager when WKRP was on, had and still has the hots for her - and NOT Lonnie Anderson with her made-up, manufactured "beauty."

It's the same thing with Gilligan's Island. Ginger was the supposed beauty of the show, but every guy I know liked Mary Ann better.

It must be that understated, girl-next-door appeal.
