Julia Sugarbaker

Acid-tongued and witty, as played by Dixie Carter.

1. You know, I absolutely despised her on "Diff'rent Strokes"
But she went and redeemed herself on "Designing Women." She was hilarious.

2. Also a right-winger in real life
Unlike the producers of the show, the Thomasons.

3. Boo
I don't like her. I'm glad she speaks her mind but she's also too self-righteous.

Man, do we both watch too much Lifetime?

5. In my defense...
My time spent watching too much Lifetime is usually due to The Nanny. ;) (And, dare I say it? Movies that ask us to believe Rue McClanahan could get pregnant at that age...)

I haven't watched a Designing Women rerun in years. I just remember that killer speech she gave Ray Don whats-his-name in the restaurant that time...brilliant.

6. Hey, i'm not judging you
I watch it a lot too. The movies are crap but they're hilarious. They have reruns of good shows. I've watched every episode of the Golden Girls at least 4 times.
