9. My thoughts exactly. Also "Electric Avenue"
Next to "Iron Man", that was the greatest thing to grace Friday Night Videos.

As to Thomas Dolby, he's got a website thomasdolby.com, which shows that he's still trying for that follow-up hit. As to what he's doing, I have no clue. He still makes albums, but the "gaps in his discography/employment history" make me wonder if he hasn't gotten into one or more of the following at some point: rehab, temproary religious phase, gym coach, acting.

10. thomas dolby invented a compression format for music
so cell phones can have alerts and alarms that play actual music clips. I don't know if he makes actual music anymore though.

Anything from the Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill.
Anything by Whodini.

11. anything by Journey, Billy Squire, or Rush (from the 2112 album)
and I can't stand any of the music of those artists. I hated junior high school. It was the worst three years of my life. Even hearing that music now makes me unhappy.

12. Dead Kennedys!
Edited on Wed Sep-24-03 12:54 AM by FDRrocks
I strutted into my first day of high school with a DK patch on my bookbag. I was, since then, dubbed a title named after the junior who was the only other person who liked DK in the school. :(

Thank god for Jello Biafra. To me, he is the epitome of integrity.

My defining songs would be:

DK - Holiday in Cambodia
Mxpx - Teenage Politics
Five Iron Frenzy - Most Likely to Suceed (political)

edit: Man With The Dogs rocks! Give me Liberty.... is one of the best overall albums ever compiled!

13. Tenderness by the English Beat
There's a lot of music I remember, but that is the only song that really makes me remember high school surprisingly strongly.
