9. It's a good question isn't it??
Ask CO Liberal!

I'm a Jersey girl myself who wanted to love in Arizona - but we never made it there.

It's too damn hot here in the summer and too damn cold in the winter.

And in the spring it will snow one day and be 80 the next.

4. Me too. I hate winter so bad that if I could strangle it I'd fantasize
about it all the time.

I went downstairs and had to put on the heat (read: authorize my gas company to charge me whatever the hell they want so I don't freeze).
Before now I've just had it on in the rooms we use regularly.

Plus, it gets dark at like, 5pm.

I can't imagine living somewhere like Sweden.

10. I felt the same way after 5 years in Japan.
In a complete overreaction, we moved to Miami of all places when we came back to the states.

Yuk. What a nightmare. First of all, the culture is predominantly latin American, so it's a total culture shock. Even the "Americans" who live there are rude, pushy and mean, they drive like psychos, it's pancake flat as far as the eye can see and it's HOT.

Always.

Always.

Hot, humid and sticky.

In June, 90 and sticky

August - 90 and sticky

October - 89 and sticky

December - 85 and sticky

February - 83 and sticky

April - 88 and sticky

And you can guess about the months in between.

Count your blessings. Colorado has great skiing, beautiful mountains and roaring fires to keep you warm.

I finally moved to nice, cool San Francisco this spring and I LOVE IT.

It's a bit chilly sometime and there is no summer to speak of, but I will NEVER go back to the tropics. That's what layers are for.

21.  is that a moose? I have been to Alaska twice and was as far
north as Denali. Both times in late June/early July. Gorgeous state. Once driving back to Anchorage on some deserted road, we thought we saw a horse so we slowed down. Then we decided it was maybe a moose. We were right next to its rear end and it didn't bother moving over or running away. So we kept looking at it and thinking well what the hell is that thing, a small horse or a female moose or what? I am from Chicago so don't expect a lot in identifying animals for anything other than cats from dogs from ferrets, okay? But I think it was in fact a moose. The moose just kept his or her rear end toward us the entire time we watched it.

How many hours of light are you having right now? I remember losing all sense of time when I was in Alaska. Plus the kids would be out playing in the streets at 1:00AM and I remember touring glaciers at 1 or 2 am. Amazing beautiful country.

I bet it's hard to start the cars in this kind of cold. Do you use those car heater things...whatever they are called.

19. I remember we made the national news one January because it
never got above zero for a month and a half. I remember getting up one morning and it was -56. That is so unusual for even us, it was notable.

20. I hate it too! Hate it!
Never was able to figure out Fahrenheit but here we had up to -10 Celsius and that's enough for me! Have to lug warm water to the place where we keep our horses, breake up the ice on their drinking water and generally work more than ever, and afterwards freeze for hours till I warm up. AND it gets dark at 4 pm. 4 pm! Fortunately it's solstice soon!
