1. I know I wont
I wanted him gone years ago.

2. Wonder what the average age of the Mets pitching staff is now
I probably would have taken Leiter over Pedro. Petey seems to have about a year left in that arm, then he becomes a long reliever.

3. I don't care what the Sox do now
I'm going to see the World Championship trophy this week. All is well in Sox Nation!

Once the initial shock at not having Petey in Boston wears off, everything will be ok.

5. Glad you're going to
You know I am an Orioles fan but I saw a documentary on HBO about the reverse of the curse, I was so happy to see it, it was so moving, and of course I laughed at A-Rod's glove slap. Of course I think next year is the year of the bird, god I hope they get Hudson and someone like Sexson or Delgado.

6. sadly true

He's still good at beating up teams with weak batting, though. Good for crowdpleasing against the Twins and excellent for haranguing and soundbites when he gets shelled. He knows it's all entertainment.

Theo definitely got the message out by trading Garciaparra and re-signing Varitek: all prima donnas on the team who aren't delivering are going to walk the plank if they don't jump at the first good opportunity. Pedro jumped. Smart move, really- NYC kind of money as he slips toward retirement, his career and reputation and WS ring were made with Boston in a big splash and are "seperate" from what he does (or doesn't) as a Met. Not a bad ending for a guy who started at the Expos.

8. The TWINS????????????
The Twins have had his number the past few years...I have personally seen two of those games (one in which Radke pitched and the other game Santana pitched). Both games, Pedro took the loss.

7. Pedro's still got the best low-pitch arm in the majors.
I'd consider making him a reliever NOW. He'll make any bullpen among the best in the big leagues.

10. Nah. I'm going to miss him a little.
I know he seems like he's starting to slip but I liked him.
