About 1982. I don't think it's been released on CD, though.

A lot of new wave bands covering other tunes, including Police/Sting doing Tutti Frutti, Altered Images doing Little Town Flirt. I'm pretty sure Elvis Costello was on it, too.

I lucked out and rediscovered the song on Napster back in the day.
