1. I like to hear the leaves as you walk or they dance along
I shut my last window but still have not turned on my heat. I love Fall in NE as the color seems to sink into the air and tints all.

3. Rakin', rakin', rakin...
(Rawhide)
Rakin', rakin', rakin'
All the leaves I'm takin'
Though my back is breakin'
I RAKE!

I'll burn 'em or I'll bag 'em
Or to the curb I'll drag 'em.
Soon they'll be gone, because I RAKE!

My heart's calculatin',
Miz Matcom will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of MY RAKE!
;-)

4. Am I weird...
...in saying that the fall and winter seasons are my favorite time of year?

I love the cold weather, snow, and beautiful bleakness of it all, and my family and friends think I'm crazy.

Any other fall/winter lovers?

5. Love fall
We don't get the brilliant leaf colors down on the gulf, but:
1. All the summer folk are gone.
2. The snowbirds aren't here yet.
(we get the beach back for a couple of months)
3. The air is cooling.
4. The water is still warm.

Damned near purfeck.

7. I LOVE winter even though
we really don't have a winter in St Louis. The coldest it gets is in the 20s for the most part. Sure we may have a couple of days when it is cold but not many. We also don't get much snow but let it snow an inch and the region shuts down!

My co-workers think I am crazy as well. I leave my windows open and sleep with a fan on during the winter! Of course I live in a building that uses radiator heat so it can get quite warm.

The arrival of cooler temperatures makes me want to BOUNCE!!!

8. Ahhh the opening of leaf peeping season
we in NH welcome all tourist who wish to see the spectacular change in foliage over the next few weeks. I am on vacation next week and we McLargehuge's are taking a drive northwards through Fanconia Notch to take in the early season.

This is indeed the best time to be in New England.

10. Fall is the best time of year
some good things about it:

1) Hot cider with a cinnamon stick(and Captain Morgan's if you like)

2) Fairs

3) Halloween

4) Using the fireplace for the first time of the season

5) Having something like chili simmering in the crockpot all day

6) Seeing geese flying overhead,on their way south

7) The colors of the leaves,of course

11. What do the leaves change into? Why do they fall?
Do they get drunk or something?

This I never heard and I don't believe you; and I live in the center of reality, Phoenix, AZ.
