Has anyone heard of Primerica? |
|
My friend was telling me that he's thinkin of working there and then explained a bit to me about it. It seems like they sell life insurance and other financial services. Apparently it's a part of CitiGroup. He started saying he would start making over a 100k in about a year or two. It sounded sort of ridiculous. It sounded a bit like a pyramid scheme.
Anyone know anyone that worked with these people?

2. I was supposed to have a meeting with them today |
|
I read up on them and I found out it was nothing more than a scam pretty much. I didnt bother going to the meeting and I wont be calling them back.
My advice, pass on it.

8. But they'll be calling you... |
|
Trust me.
I went to one of their meetings and figured out the angle after about fifteen minutes. I kept getting phone calls from them for months. I still get one or two every year.

They are bad news. Do a Google search and you will uncover how they operate.

7. "Multi Level Marketing"... |
|
which isn't exactly a Ponzi scam, but won't make you a bazillion bucks unless you have a bazillion friends to hook up with.
Not knowing exactly what they were, except that Travelers Insurance was involved, I went to an "interview" years ago.
They threw me out when I casually mentioned that the total commissions paid were around 35%, and I would prefer to just get the 35% instead of building a downline to make money.
Like Amway, they know perfectly well that nobody is going to make more than one or two sales a month, so MLM is the way they build a huge sales force and get enough sales to stay in business. We would be doing their recruiting job for them.
MLM is bullshit, although some people who get in at the beginning do make a lot of money. Primerica's been around long enough that there's little room to make a killing at this point. If anyone's that motivated, there are other, genuine, sales opportunities.

10. It IS a pyramid of sorts..... |
|
On the surface their plans sound too good to be true......specially their mortgage plans.....dig a little deeper and they don't look so good. Most people go to work with them.....pursuade maybe one or two family members and friends to re-fi with them, make a few bucks and then it dries up...
