The judge's action at a private party was stupid and I don't defend him. However the cop-the physical representation of enforcement of the law-was at a VERY public function, a parade in Queens. He and the firemen, who are also on the public payroll, should not be given backpay for the time they spent suspended. Thats those illiterate, pot-bellied, racist New York judges for you. <<sarcasm>>

Personally, I think both actions were highly inappropriate. However, my beef was with the posters belittling Louisiana and the south because of the judge's action. There is stupidity, ignorance and assholish behavior in all 50 states. Don't point your finger in mockery at my state until you've cleaned out your own toilet.

Wore a straw sailor hat a la Durante, White shirt and pants, red vest, and carried a cane.
Sang and danced the Hokey Pokey in front of a chorus line of little girl pickaninnys also all done up in blackface.

I'm happy to say that I've grown and learned a lot since those days of yore, but I still secretly wish I had pictures.
