All joking aside (and I wasn't serious about you hijackign threads at all, just giving you shit), I've taken notes without vowels as well. It can save time, at least when the brain can process fast enough that leaving the vowels out is faster than trying to figure out where they are. I developed lots of shorthand styles in grad school trying to take notes during dense, quick lectures...
