1. I like Mel C aka Sporty Spice
She came out with some songs a few years back that were were mixed with a techno/dance beat. Some pretty good stuff, if you're into that type of music.

"I turn to you" was one of my faves.

7. They love Thatcher
In an interview they all said that they are conservatives, and that the Iron Lady was the original Spice Girl.

10. That sucks. You sure about that?
I can deal with Posh and Geri and even Baby being Tories, but I like Sporty and Scary...

11. An interview in 1996
http://www.spicegirls.co.uk/timeline.htm

They were interviewed in December 1996 by the Spectator (an intellectual conservative (yes there is such a thing) magazine) and called Lady Thatcher 'the first Spice Girl'.

I don't know if that was all, and whether it was just the whole 'girl-power' thing of the first female P.M. I seem to remember more things about them being right-wing, but I have never really been into non-classical music so didn't pay too much attention.
