Attention Cubs Fans. This Just In.
Houston 2, San Francisco 1.

I sure hope that Estes pitches well tonight. Lot's of pressure on him and he hasn't started since Sept. 5th , I believe.

5. Great game last night.
The Cubs rocked the Reds and Estes pitched his best game of the season.

The last four games (one in Cincy and 3 in Wrigley against the Bucs) the Cubs will throw Zambrano, Clement, Prior and Wood, in that order.

If they clinch before Sunday, they can save Wood for the first playoff game next Tuesday night, probably in Atlanta.

It's really getting fun.

6. 8, Zip
Let me repeat that. 8, zip.

I just turned 47 and this is only the 4th time in my whole life the Cubs were in 1st place on my birthday. I picked a good year to care about baseball again. (A conscious decision from last winter after the dreadful and dreary display the NBA has become.)
