A lot of people get posts deleted here. I have. Most people over 1000+ have it happen to them. It's really okay. You're going to be fine, I promise you. :) It's best if you forget about it and move on. Don't let it ruin your DU experience.

:) I'm hard-headed, I know that's a very bad trait, It's like I have to take on fights or causes because it will mean something. I know I'm rambling but when we loose humor because some see it as not "PC" then we become lifeless zombies, afraid to laugh at anything because we fear those who we may offend. Heck, for the next 4 years all we may have between each other is humor, we should really try and make the best of it.

So nothing I'm about to say is based on that. There are some jokes that, while they are funny, aren't exactly the best to post on an open message board that attracts a very diverse group. It's important not to to be too sensitive, but I also think we can go too far in making people feel that they can't speak out if they're genuinely offended by a comment or joke. Sometimes jokes do go too far. There are a small number of insensitive clods who just like to stir the nest. You're definitely not one of those people.

I know what you mean about taking on fights or causes here. I do that all the time :) I'll get right into the thick of things before I know it.

humor based on the misfortune of others is in poor taste, I think back on some of the stuff that as kids we laughed at and wonder how could we be that insensitive. On the other side of that though I think we have gone to "PC" on some issues. Now I know I'll get flamed for this but some of the anger addressed by the right towards the left is based, in part, on that "silly" PC crowd, the ones who block your way into PETCO while protesting in their brand Doc Martin shoes that take like 5 cows per pair to make.

It's funny how the Admin's have set up a place for us to voice concerns while just a few threads away a post grows and grows with funny comments about people using ATA. I guess I'm the only one that see's the humor in that. Hey all, come to the zoo and look at freaks who complain.
