Poll question: Working on a new fractal, which one seems to be the better way to go?
I have more (mostly to do with some foreground objects), but which color scheme looks better?

A)

B)

Thanks!

1. I personally like the first one e. . .
What program do you use?

Have you ever used Ultra Fractal? It allows layering and transparency . . . you can create some incredible fractals with it :)

3. I use UltraFractal 3.05, however XenoDream looks far more powerful...
I might be buying it tomorrow (www.xenodream.com)

I have a purple 'snowflake' one stashed away someplace that I keep meaning to have printed. Those are great, though! So much detail!

5. ROTFLMAO!!! Here's my two cents on the designs:

The red one has a more fluid feel and the distinction of the background lines is much more refined and purposeful.

The blue one is more psychedelic and chaotic, yet the color scheme is comparatively soothing on the eyeballs. It's almost a paradox.

I also like the red one because my original fleeting thought was to show the "creation of the birth of the multiverse". I couldn't really see the universe appear out of a blue flame. Red~yellow seemed more apropos, and given how nature works I think the inherant evil personified in red is most apropos. (though the repuke aspect never once came to mind!)

6. Yeah, there is more going on there than red & blue
and they are both lovely, by the way! I just couldn't help but notice ;)

7. volcanic eruption vs. galaxy or nebula;
lots of subtle contrast in the blue one, like in Jupiter's clouds

11. Funny
I asked myself why I didn't like the first one as much, and I immediately thought "hell."

That would make the blue heavenly.

I'm not a fundie weirdo--I promise!!:)

Nice pics.

8. While they are both great,
I find myself liking the red better. Something about seems more "real", as if I'm looking at a physical object I could touch, or a very distant perspective on something enormously huge. The blue one seems more abstract.

10. Have to go with the Blue...
Edited on Thu Dec-16-04 05:56 PM by mcscajun
...it has more depth, feeling and excitement in it.

The Red's all flash in the pan.

Oh, I'm sorry...you asked about the fractal! :)

J/K -- I really do prefer the blue one.

12. Thanks for all your comments, y'all!
It's great fun to read and I appreciate your time to write them!

Ultimately, each has its own merit but the blue scheme does seem to win in the "depth" category...
