Really need help re cellphone plans!
Hubby has a cellphone and our contract with Sprint PCS is up next month. We don't want to do a 2-year+ contract because in anotehr year we're moving permanently to Canada & then we'd have to keep paying for a year for nothing (the Sprint plan is only good within the USA).

What we'd like to do is buy a non-contract prepaid calling card thingy where you can keep your cellphone number whenever you buy more minutes, and to be able to roll over unused minutes from one month to the next. Or to buy a card that you use for however many months it takes to use up all the minutes.

So...IS there any such thing??? HELP MEEEEE!!! please? :D

1. Stay w/ sprint
You don't have to sign up for a new contract; it's likely that they will continue your old one on a month-to-month basis. Then you can just leave them when you're ready to leave them.

2. Nokia tracfone...
you can keep unused minutes and number as long as you buy required minutes in the allotted time frame. Each member of my family has one works quite well for us, wouldn't have any other kind. You can also buy the phones and cards just about anywhere now.

3. There's no need for a contract at all.
You only get a contract if you want a new phone. The contracts are simply a way for the cell phone companies to make sure that you don't sign up, take their "free" $200 phone, and quit their service a month later. If you want to keep your current phone, or pay full retail for a new one, you can continue your service indefinitely without any sort of contract or terms.

4. There are several plans around
You'll need to check to see which ones will work in Canada. Around here there is T-Mobile, Virgin and TracPhone.
