A question for teachers or educators |
|
I'm currently a sophomore enrolled in a private school however Im looking to transfer to a public school. I think I have enough class requirement but my mom told me you have to wait till the end of the year to transfer. Is this true or not for the state of Missouri? Thanks guys.

3. I don't know about Missouri, but it might be better and easier for you to |
|
wait till the end of the year to transfer. If you transfer in the middle of the school year, you might not have the information necessary for your courses that has already been covered by the public school classes (each teacher and each course requirement will be somewhat different, even a course by the same name in the same school).
If a transfer is necessary during the school year, the best option is to make the transfer on the first day of a new grading period. Otherwise you will have loads of work to make up in order to get a decent grade.
There may also be some state mandated issues regarding placement and testing for placement...

I don't know about specifics for MO; I do know that it would be hard to switch midterm and still feel confident about finals.
