Ok grinches, let's come up with the list of WORST CHRISTMAS GIFTS |
|
I only have a couple: Molotov aromatherapy candles Brick with looting instructions scribbled on it (ie, pick favorite store, throw brick through window, grab whatever you like, run like hell)
Also, I wanted to do a bit about a Jerry Springer Christmas special; maybe with a little thought on what kind of stuff would be on this (Santa's elves dishing the dirt, say), this could be shoehorned in as well.
You?

My ex's sister bought me a snow shovel for Christmas. You could fold it up in a compact size. It's not like it was something I couldn't use. I just thought that was an odd Christmas gift.
Oops. This is Pithlet. He borrowed my computer to post something, and I forgot to log out and resign on.

12. Every year we have a yankee swap and the Chia Head |
|
makes an appearance as a joke. It's the dreaded gift that the recipient tries to get rid of, it's very funny.

of wrenches once. they were so weak that I thought butter was used in the casting, we called it "butter steel". Went to take a nut off and the wrench just sorta melted and my hand slipped and I racked da crap outta my knuckles.

someone else's name on it ROFL
the bag said "Miss Jones, Best Teacher"
my sil's name is Schulz (Mrs Schulz at that)
obviously bought at goodwill and wrapped up pretty
don't get me wrong, I do 98% of my clothes and household stuff shopping at Goodwill or other recycle stores, but I don't buy monogramed/personalized gifts unless they actually are the CORRECT name/initials ROFL

I couldn't have it in the room with me. I'd expect it to come to life in an eerie Stephen King-novel way and say something. Probably something dumb.

10. Dollar store gifts from relatives |
|
Especially when you pick out something that's really great for your aunt, and put a lot of time into it, and they give you a magnetic notepad from the dollar store... and the magnetic strip doesn't even work!
Or, when your cousin gives you something like a plastic boomerang and you get him something like a 20 dollar gift certificate.
:D I'M NOT BITTER.

13. This isn't really a bad gift--only when you get a lot of it-- |
|
bath and body baskets! And perfume--and spray! The first Christmas after I married my first husband, when I guess I was still very new to the family, everyone decided to get me scented lotions, puffs, loofas, spritzes! Eek! I suppose it was a *safe* present because they didn't have to guess my size, or what color sweater I liked, or my taste in literature, but the result looked like a strong hint I needed to fix my B.O.! :)

I have to be very careful of scented gifts. So many are allergic to the odors.

25. Animal products for vegans |
|
Big box of cheap milk chocolates. Nothing says "I had no clue what to get you and didn't bother to think too hard about it" quite like a big box of milk chocolate treats given to someone with a dairy allergy.
Too-small leather shoes. I have big feet. I'm vegan.
