I feel awe at the compassion that du members have shown me.I feel this is the only sane place (well most of the time) left to me.
It is reassuring that there are so many like minded people .The information sharing on here is without par.I feel when I log off of here I am better educated. A better person to have typed to you all.

I lived in spanish fort/mobile.
I liked the people.They are very friendly.I did not like the ugly under current that was in areas of mobile.The overt racism.
I being from western pa (region of most hate crimes in the united states) did not find alabama more racist then pa.(especially the mouthbreathers T section of it).

35. My attraction is

the refuge from the world in which I currently work and reside. In 1999 I was a poor graduate student with some serious bills coming due, so I needed a full time job; the graduate assistant salary just did not pay the bills. So, I accepted a well-paying job in a rather conservative community which meant moving away from the place I consider home. Freepers abound here and the DU provides me with a sane sanctuary where I can talk, share ideas and meet like-minded people.
Hopefully, in a few months I will be able to leave this area and return to a "blue" area of SC. Yes, there are actually "blue" regions in SC.
