14. there you go. Earl is the man! |
|
My favorite stuff is the work he did after he left Lester and went on the road with his kids.
My ex husband got to know Earl through his job and ultimately bought one of his banjos. We had the extreme pleasure of hearing him play it when we went to pick it up. So I sat in his den, watching him pick this Fender Banjo for the last time.
My ex made some comment about the variety in the first Earl Scruggs Revue album, and Earl said "You can't play Cripple Creek forever'
I loved that!!!!!
The banjo is somewhere in Arkansas with my ex husband now. This was about 30 years ago, I think

Upon hearing Hendrix they would know that divinity had indeed been seeded on the planet and they would smile, however after learning that earthlings had been so complacent to let Jimi drift away on his own and so negligent as to not care and nurture and enthrone him as the poet-in-residence of the musical cosmos they would abruptly stop smiling and know the earth race had no future.
