The Folgers Christmas Commerical reappears
The one where "Peter" comes home for Christmas and surprises his family with steaming warm cups of Folgers coffee.

That use to be one of my fave holiday commericals and today I saw it for the first time in awhile.

It's such a sappy commerical but I still like it!:)

3. An oldie but goodie
A classic in my book. Yeah, I was watching "The Young and the Restless" as I do Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 and poof--

Peter! I was surprised to see it myself!:)

2. Peter's little sister must be all grown up with kids of her own by now.
I do admit having a soft spot for that commercial, though.

Wouldn't it be funny to see that old Wendy's woman again? You know, where's the beef?:P

That commercial has to be at least 20 to 25 years old.

Maybe they replayed it back then too. I'm 26. Ok, it could be like 20 years old.

32. Ah, where'd you find that?
That's a couple of years newer than I would have guessed, but the styles fit that whole late-70's early 80's period.

39. On someone's blog.
That makes it unofficial, but it rather fits with what I remember. I was a senior in high school then.

30. Ever notice the VW Beetle in the very beginning?
It looks to be a VW Super Beetle, which were made between 1972 and 1979. Since TV commercials tend to use newer cars as props, that puts the commercials creation in the early 80's at the very latest.

I'm 30 years old and remember seeing the commercial as a little kid. I don't remember how old I was, but it was definitely under 10...so we're talking pre-1984. My guess, based on the hairstyles, the style of the clothing and "dad's" eye glasses, and the overall feel of the commercial, is that it was produced between 1978 and 1981.

29. That used to be one of my favorites.
That, and the McDonald's "Baby Sister" commercial, where the guy is about 8 years older than his sister, and it shows them growing up from little kids to older kids, and she's always stealing his french fries...and then at the end of the commercial, he's an adult and she's in high school, and he's eating ac McD's, and she walks in with her friends ("Then I turned around and found a homecoming queen") and they see each other, and he smiles and holds up a french fry, and she smiles back...

*sigh* Now, what did you have to go and do that for? I'm gonna be weepy and nostalgic all night now.

34. I Like The Old "Andre Champagne" Commercials
With Carol Of The Bells playing in the background. Along with champagne glasses being raised in a toast. Wintery scenes, people arriving at family get togethers, lovers kissing... and the announcer saying "Ring in the season! Ring in the new year!"

As a child I always looked forward to the Norlco Santa commercials. They started "early" and it was a SURE sign that Christmas was on the way.
