I liked "water"

Not a great movie by any means--but just sort of cheerful, and I think overlooked...

Oooopppsss.

I meant to reply to the main thread---but, oh well my bad. :)

17. How could I have forgotten that?
A great movie - better still, a Woody Allen movie that doesn't feature Woody Allen.

15. Another vote for Deathtrap...But....
Before "Deathtrap" there was "Sleuth" :) Also Michael Caine, but with Laurence Olivier.

Both excellent films.

13. so, so many
Cider House
Get Carter
The Fourth Protocol
Blame it on Rio
The Quiet American

but since no one voted for the underrated "Eagle," i gave it some love...only ONE actor can be a convincably well-mannered, noble, and dare i say, honorable nazi....the ONLY WWII movie where I inexplicable found myself rooting for the nazis....all because of Caine

14. Dressed to Kill
Straddles the fine line between trash & horror classic...

But he's not even in the best part (the Angie Dickenson museum sequence.)

The 2.35:1 DVD version is pretty good. The pan & scan video sucks.

20. "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Noises Off!"
Two marvelous comedies. :)

from Noises Off! Michael Caine plays Broadway director Lloyd Fellowes

Usher: Is there something wrong with your seat, Mr. Fellowes?
Lloyd Fellowes: Yes, it's facing the stage!
