I've taken it for years and it works great. Recently I switched to Zicam though...not for any real reason other than that's what my mom bought and put in the medical cabinet. Coldeeze is kind of yucky tasting, but it really works.

They are excellent. They came in three flavors, but its been a while since Ive had them, my store stopped keeping them in stock. Watch out for the red and the green ones, yuck! The blue ones are the best

Don't expect miracles, but colds are shorter and less severe when you take them.
I find Cold-Eeze is the best cough drop anywhere. You can only take one every few hours, but it seems to stop the tickle for that long.

zinc when I feel a cold coming on. I don't believe in ANY of this herbal/vitamin nonsense, but my sister does and one time when I was developing a cold on Christmas Eve she suggested it. I figured I had nothing to lose. I haven't had a full-fledged cold since, and that was years ago. Sometimes it just takes it away lock, stock and barrel. Other times it turns into what somebody above said - 1/3 the cold. It seems not to work for everybody, but it works for me. I never would have believed it, but it proved itself to me.

6. Zicam works well and you don't have to taste it :) |

It comes as a nasal spray or nasal swab.

7. haven't had a cold for years ... |

i swear by Cold-eeze ... at the slighest hint of a cold or if i spend lots of time around someone who has one, i take one Cold-eeze ... that's usually all it takes ...
if you decide to use them, don't take any vitamin C (or foods with vitamin C) for like an hour before or after taking the Cold-eeze ... otherwise, it won't be as effective ...

cold - that moment when you feel the first tingle in your nose. The zinc coats your nasal passages and inhibits the spread of the cold germs. If they have already spread, it's too late. You have to allow the zinc tablets to dissolve in your mouth, not chew or swallow them. If the cold has already gotten a good start in you, I think the best thing is Echinacea tablets or tea. Echinacea purpurea is an herb that stimulates the immune system. Also lots of water and lots of rest.
