Well I signed a P&S today and handed over a deposit for some land

I close in two weeks. Next year or maybe in 2006 I will build my first house. A good friend/builder and his son from North Dakota will come out here for however long it takes to build it (I'll be working half-days with them), and my Dad wants to help, and I think my brother and a maybe a brother-in-law will help too. I'm pretty excited...

You can build one cheaper than you can buy one. If you are there every day, surpervising construction, you will be surprised how smoothly things will go. The minute you leave the building, work stops.
