Which industries spin situations so they can never be debunked/outlawed? |
|
For example, mental health care. You go in, they see you over a whopping three week period. Once per week. 45 minute episode. After those three not-so-lengthy visits, they peg you with something and cart you off to the psychiatrist so you can get doped up with something that does nothing more than lax up your frontal lobes. Many of them don't write in notes properly nor will they listen to their customers, not all of which can truly be deemed incapable of thinking despite their best intentions.
It's sad. In so many industries, if one person makes a mistake they get canned. These quacks can dope you up for any conjured, trumped up condition and when the drugs prove to be worthless they just give you some more. Keeps them employed, keeps the drug industry employed, keeps everybody else employed.

No matter how many predictions fail, or how often facts conflict with dogma, the job is secure. No matter how outrageous the scandal, how sick your personal life is, religious leaders will hail you as a moral hero.
