What should I feed a tiger oscar?

I've had Buf for almost two years and I love him tons. However, lately he hasn't been wanting to eat his flakes. I can't bring myself to give him feeder fish...but he's become so large the flakes aren't doing it anymore. Has anyone used the sticks?

1. Try some brime shrimp

It comes frozen.
I used to feed my Oscar and Jack Dempsey shrimp.
I do not guaruntee yours will like it but it might
be worth a shot.

2. He might like tubifex worms...

but you have to buy them fresh on a regular basis.

(unless someone's figured out how to store or raise them)
