It's just a convention for most. Most Americans are circumcised, regardless of religion. I don't care that much one way or the other, but it seems like nearly all men who aren't circumcised are born outside the US.

I grew up uncircumcised in a heavily circed environment. I always felt embarassed to be different as a kid.

I've never had a girl that has cared either way, although sometimes I wonder if they think I am a freak and just not saying anything to be nice.

I know, I have a complex.

There is nothing freakish about it. Though the reason my sister decided to have her son circumcised was that he wouldn't feel different in comparison to his father and other boys.

... my personal experience is that uncircumcised males are far more conscientuous about personal hygeine 'down there' than are circumcised males.
