16. It depends on 2 things.
What can your computer do?
What are you comfortable with?

It took me time to adjust to the resolution on my laptop. I use 1024 x 768 at work IIRC. That is the minimum that I like using. 1600 x 1200 is the max on a screen like mine. I don't like using it on my 17" flat panel at work.

So the answer depends on those two questions.

18. Yeah
I got a new computer at home and it took sometime to get used to 1024 x 768, but now I love it. My 17" only has that or 800 x 600.
