Interesting website: Bugmenot
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 05:23 AM by Lucky Luciano
The premise is that someone registers for a newspaper or some other site tht requires registration to read their stuff and then everyone can enter the URL in at http://www.bugmenot.com and skip past having to register and just read the damn article or whatever! It might be new, but maybe it is worth checking out.

Just tried it and it was disappointing...it seems the accounts that people have given are not working....If they work out the kinks, the site is a good idea though...I'll check it periodically cuz I HATE registering at sites just to read an article.

1. I have used it many times.
If the registration information is a dud, there is a button to click, and they will offer you another.

I find it extremely useful.

2. This has been around for a long time.
It is dying under the weight of its own success.

3. There's a bugmenot extension for Firefox
All I have to do is right click in whatever login box is there and bugmenot automatically enters the information (if any) for that site.

Takes two seconds. Literally.

4. How does that work?
I have Mozilla Best of 2003, not Firefox.

5. I'm not sure how it works for you
But I go to the Tools menu and select Extensions. Then browse or search for bugmenot.

6. Thanks.
I can't find extensions, but I'll ask a friend who used to use this version of Mozilla. That would save me time. Your way sounds so easy.

7. I've never had a more user-friendly experience than Firefox
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 06:22 AM by Mojambo
It is everything Microsoft aspires to, but can't be due to bloated incompetence.

8. I greatly prefer Mozilla to Microsoft.
My understanding is that Firefox is a more scaled down version of Mozilla than the one I have, and is easier to use.

I thought my version was fine until now -- I want the ease of using Bug Me Not that you have. If my friend doesn't know how to find that ability on my version, I'll consider switching to Firefox.

I will never go back to Microsoft.

9. Extensions will not work with the Zilla..
I would switch but Firefox won't work with my OS. So switch now. OS 9 is dead. I mumble..

11. THAT'S what it was--I forgot the name of it yesterday, so annoying.
Worked for me the whole two times I used it... are you going to lesser known sites? Maybe the sites have gotten wise?
