45. mushrooms
the taste that accurately depicts death and decay.

only if they are cooked into something. hate them raw.

i wonder if wandering in pastures looking for those silly 'shrooms, finding them on the cow pattie, picking them, shaking them off, breaking off the lower part of the stem, and eating them, had anything to do with my dislike for raw 'shrooms.

if they made it home i would drown them in bbq sauce or chocolate syrup.

hmmmmmmmm....

18. Tacos Off a Truck
Here in the Pueblo Area, there are several people who have converted old bread delivery trucks into mobile taco kitchens. They park in the corners of parking lots, and sell what they can to whoever stops by.

I don't trust a food vendor who can just drive away......

Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 01:25 PM by CO Liberal
...you can be fairly certain they're sanitary. But when they actually make the food in the truck (as they do with these taco vendors), all bets are off.

Especially if it looks like "TACOS" was hand-painted with a brush and a can of Rust-Oleum.

48. As a vegetarian, there aren't too many foods in my diet that gross me out
...even marshmallows are off the menu, because they're made with gelatin (and I assume EVERYONE knows that gelatin comes from hooves of horses and cattle, right????)

But I agree with cauliflower. Yecch. Any green veggie that isn't really green is just empty space (like iceberg lettuce hearts--how useless are those?)

And I'm not a fan of most squash, which is all we seem to get in the winter. Blecch. Can't wait for my berries and peaches and plums to come back into season. Winter sucks!

PS Mushrooms ROCK be they raw or cooked.
