11. "Best" depends on what came before it...
...If I've just eaten seafood...I'll be looking for a Key Lime Pie.

After eating Red Meat...my system Screams for something chocolate, but probably not pie.

Pork in any form screams for Apple or Peach Pie, depending on the season.

Chicken for dinner...that's the best time for a Banana Cream Pie.

After the Big Thanksgiving Turkey...you can just gimme a sliver of Pecan Pie, and one sliver of Pumpkin Pie.

Lemon Meringue Pie stands alone. It's the pie for when you're just having Pie and tea...or Pie and coffee.

The Best Pie is the one in front of you. :P

25. I don't know...I've ordered
chocolate pecan pie from Priester's catalog. It's a pecan pie with chocolate pieces on top and perhaps inside the filling. It's scrumptious when heated.

I like your recipe, however, and will try it!

14. derby pie.
The name Derby pie is copyrighted, so they had to call it

CHOCOLATE NUT PIE

1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
1/2 c. flour
3/4 - 1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
2 tbsp. bourbon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs until lemon colored. Gradually beat in sugar. Fold in alternately butter and flour. Stir in bourbon, vanilla, then chocolate chips and nuts.

Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 35-45 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean. Best if served slightly warm.

that's what they call 'em... two very small slices of certain Edwards pies packaged in a box that looks like the shape of one Good Slice.

Perfect when you gotta have some...but don't want to risk bingeing.

27. Fresh baked huckleberry...
If not that, then it's a tossup between home-made pumpkin, (lemon/lime/orange custard)-merangue or a home-made custard pie.

You can't really beat a good, old fashioned home-made custard pie. Baked with a flaky butter crust, firm enough to be able to just pick up in your hands and chow down.

47. Other? Where the hell is 'Other'?
Custard pie, silky smooth, eggy and sweet, with the hint of nutmeg. Can't be bear!! I can't beleive pumpkin pie is winning as I write this. For the record, I picked lemon meringue since custard wasn't available.
