Women is this a trend ?
In the last few years 3 of my friend's wives have left them for thier high school boy friends, left the kids with the husbands ,it is frightening me. Naturally men are pigs and leave thier wives for bimbos who can eat from the children's menu when they get the mid-life crazy blues.,generally they mess up everything and figure out they are fools.I don't know any guys who have gone back to old lovers......

1. Not a trend here.
I am still very happily married and very much in love with my dear husband. Perhaps the problems with your friends had to do with a growing away from one another. Do you still share interests with your spouse? My husband and I both are dedicated to our spiritual path and do everything together. I'd say that we have grown closer over the years, and I know our common passion and love for the One is the reason.

2. Our marriage has been strong
i belive in the old Henny Youngman joke We won't seperate till the kids pass away because we wouldn't want to hut them. Ha ?
Men seem to be unaware of thier lovers unhappieness in a relationship.

3. Interesting
that you would say that,as I feel that my husband is more aware of my feelings than I am of his.

4. Do you live in a small town or something?
Did these women regularly see their old boyfriends socially, at community events, around town? In smaller towns, I think that women who our unhappy with their lives might get nostaligic for their lives when they were younger. An old high school boyfriend if he seems to be doing alright (decent job, no criminal record) might seem like an attractive option to try to regain that life. I would think that this would be rarer in urban areas or where one or both parties had moved away from their communities. Since I am far away from my community, an old high school boyfriend would probably be the last thing that I would think of if I were unhappy in my marriage.

8. Like a do-over
Going back in time to see if things that seemed good back then would have worked out.

5. We haven't seen many wives leaving husbands,
seen more husbands leaving wives. And only a few of them. The only woman I know of was a coworker and she left her husband for a guy she met online. Of the guys one was my parents age and he left his wife for a woman my age (that was when I was about 25).

I have a cousin I am very close to and she has been married twice, both men left her. She is living with a man now (9 years, longer than her longest marriage) and he seems committed even though she has in the past 5 years developed severe diabetes, lost a leg and her eye sight.

DH and I have been married 18 years and though we have had our hard times, I believe we're closer and more committed now than we were when we married.
