No electric, no phone and no gas

Anyone else still out since the storm came through. I am going on week two and my children are going nuts. I think I will be going nuts soon to.

1. I feel your pain...I was out from Thursday til Sunday...cannot imagine

your continued horror. and I did not have any children complaining. I do not know what is going on. they are saying they have to rebuild..what have we been paying for a decaying infrastructure? rebuilding is supposed to be going on on a regular basis...sorry I do not want to add to your pain and frustration.

How terrible it must be. My Sig Other's parents still do not have electric but they do have phone...and had trees downed..but not on their house.

A day or two is a game...after that it is a drudge! hope you have a great community that comes together to help you out!!!

2. We had no power for 2 days

and I thought that was a pain in the ass. Good luck, and hang in there!

3. No Power For FIVE Days... Except for our generator...

... but that only powered the refrigerator/freezer and a hot plate. And we also used a 50' extension cord to watch DVD's in the living room.

But other than that, we took camp-showers and used oil lamps. Fun... for about 2 days. Then it got OLD. Fast!

If I could buy a generator I would. I dont think there is one available in the mid-atlantic region. I am going to start saving for one now for the next time in hope that there is never a next time.
