38. Blue Monday, too...
and I guess it was released in 1983, not '82.
I was very deep into Joy Division, then. And this track somehow was much more but a way out of that deep hole, too. And still so much soul.
Hello from Germany,
Dirk
P.S. But wasn't "Cum On Feel The Noize" more 1973? Slade? Anyone?

"Work for Love" by Ministry. That was in '83. I think I heard that song everytime I walked into a club that summer.

13. Steppin' Out...
Reminds me of the best date of my high school years. Sweet girl she was, to go out with an acne-decimated 17 year old like me for an entire year.

But, gotta go with "Our House"

I really thought ska would last longer. I know, I know... it's back...sorta.

Me too. I saw them on their "comeback" tour in the mid-1990s. They still had it going on in a HUGE way, too!

My personal pick still has to be "Shuttered Room"-- Red Skies, Stand or Fall, Lost Planes, Cameras in Paris...

at least 4 of the others make me wanna Cobainize.

I'd vote "Synchronicity II" were I voting. Here's 40 of the 1983 Hot 100; not reassuring:
http://www.republika.pl/uktop40/index4.html
(Header says Billboard Hot 100; URL says UK Top 40, and there's 40 of them. Go figger)

16. What , No Police?
No Every Breath?
No King of Pain?

Synchronicity - which came out in 1983 - was one of the biggest albums of that year.

I'm not sure, but it may have actually been second only to Michael Jackson's Thriller.

And while I'm complaining....What no U2 either?
War came out in 1983 as well.
No New Year's Day?
No Sunday Bloody Sunday?

This poll is "FIXXED" I tell ya!
