Poll question: Is flirting alright when you have a significant other/spouse? |
|
I went out with a buddy of mine and a couple of girls a couple of nights ago. Got pretty drunk, had an AWESOME time (haven't partied like that since college), and there was a good amount of flirting going on. And I get pretty affectionate when I'm drunk. I'm just very friendly with my friends. I wanted my girlfriend to be there, but she couldn't be because she had to work.
I told my girlfriend all about it, too, but she seemed alright with it.
What do you guys think? Is being flirtatious/physically affectionate with people when you're already taken okay? Where's the line?

I just think if me and a SO have a connection and we openly commit to each other, flirting can send a bad message. If I'm in that situation I don't want it to appear to the guy she is interested in taking things a step further when she is with me. I also want my SO to know that she is the only woman I'm interested in and don't want her to to think otherwise if she sees me flirt.

as long as there's nothing overtly sexual about it, no touching or kissing or grinding on the dance floor then you're all good

2. Dancing doesn't = flirting imo |

Dancing was my last SO's favorite hobbies and she was pretty good at that, though dancing NEVER has appealed to me (I felt Footloose was a good movie ruined by the musical dance sequences) so obviously I haven't had much practice, but she would've been bored as hell with me if I had a problem with her dancing with other people. She only danced once with a single person, there was no closeness or grinding, and it was funny because most were worse then I am. :silly:

Mrs. WC Green actually encourages it....
We get better service, people remember us and so we get even better service...
If the flirtee is uncomfortable with Mrs. WC Green around I just stop and close it all down..
But flirting is fun, it's harmless and is way of communicating with people on common ground....
