A heartbreak every day

Today I went out to my local Subway restaraunt that I frequent and I walked in on a conversation the two women who work the day shift were having. I was the only one in the store besides them. One of the women was crying and saying that she just got the estimate to get her car fixed and she didn't have the money to get the work done. It was a situation where I would have loved to have said, "Maybe I can help you out," but I don't have a lot of money, either. This is doubly crappy when you consider what time of year this is.

I think if I had a lot of money I would go around helping people who were having a hard time. Especially the working poor who provide such a valuable service but get paid very little. I bet that woman isn't making even $7 an hour.
