How long does your cordless phone last for a single call? |
|
My 5 year old Uniden, with a battery replaced 9 months ago, lasts up to 54 minutes before it konkz out on me. It was comparable to the old battery, but I thought there was a problem.
Is 55 minutes normal? I use the cordless phone only once a week, so it's always fully charged...
Thx!

at Sam's. It still has it's original battery. My longest phone call on it was the night my brother-in-law ran from the cops on his motorcycle and my sister was on the phone with me for about 2 hours before we heard the sounds of sirens and the medivac helicopter. I stayed on the line with her until her next door neighbor drove over about 6 blocks, found the accident scene and then came back to tell her, that yes, it was her husband. That night I never put the phone back in the charger because I was either talking to my sister on her cellphone or was talking to the hospital, airline's, my son and my ex to find ways to get to Houston.
So 9:30 pm Sunday night until Monday 10:30 a.m I was more on the phone than off of it.

need I say more? Ours never dies....I say she's on the phone more than she's not. There may be more problems than a battery HT.

This is on a relatively new (8 months) VTech 5.8GHz and using a headset. Only about 90 minutes if using the handset's ear-piece speaker and only about 45 minutes if using the handset's 'speakerphone' speaker.
The nice thing I like about this phone is that it has a little battery compartment in the base that I can stick another battery into which it will keep charged. Handy if the power goes out, then I can at least use the phone to call the power company.
However, I use it as a second battery charger and swap the handset's battery with the one in the base in the early evening (sooner if required). This allows me to ensure that I'll almost always have at least 3 or 4 hours of talk time.
