What were your favorite songs as a little kid?
I was an 80's child, so most of mine were from that era:

"Celebration" by Kool and the Gang
"Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield
"Karma Chameleon" by Boy George
"Open Your Heart" by Madonna (okay, pretty much anything by Madonna during that time...I was a bit obessed with her...yes, it worried my mom a bit!)
"Just a Gigolo" (the David Lee Roth version...to me it was "I Ain't Got Nobody"...I didn't know what a gigolo was but I loved that song!)

And for some odd reason I absolutely loved "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. I had a 45 of it that I'd put on the record player almost every morning so I could shake my booty! (I was 5...don't laugh!) :D

1. We must be about the same age
I liked all of those. ;) Sadly, I also went through a Debbie Gibson/NKOTB phase. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

2. Barbara Anne and Help Me Rhonda by the Beach Boys
why I don't now, my parents didn't listen to them alot, I think I inherited the 45 from my uncle. Of course when I was like 6 years-old, I had a "girlfriend" that I just knew I would marry when I grew up and her name was Rhonda, so that might have had something to do with it :)

3. L.A. Woman, because my mom played it a lot, and At The Hop, my dad I would
dance around to that song all the time, so yeah those two and lots of other old 50's songs my dad would play. :7

8. Not sure how young your talking here
but in the '60's a few of my faves were "Sugar Sugar" by the Archies
Almost anything by the Rolling Stones
Nearly anything by CCR.
"Hanky Panky" by Tommy James and the Shondells
All Johnny Cash tunes as I was raised by a musician who absolutely loved Mr. Cash.
"Dizzy" by Tommy Roe
"Its Happening" by Paul Revere and the Raiders
"Jennifer Tompkins" by The Street People. I still like that one to this day. As you can see, I grew out of most of the ridiculous crap and now like some different stuff, although CCR, The Stones, and Johnny Cash will always be some of my favorites. And add one more to that list, anything Mr. Chuck Berry ever did. He's the real King of Rock 'n' Roll, with no apologies to Elvis.

10. Music Box Dancer and Rhinestone Cowboy
When I was at the kidly age of 8 I think my favorites were....

"Music Box Dancer": It was played every morning on the radio station we listened to while eating breakfast.

"Rhinestone Cowboy": A song I heard on the bus coming home from school. It seemed so plaintive and glamorous.

I am so embarassed.

12. Rhinestone Cowboy!
That song is awesome in a cheesy way! Nothing to be ashamed of! ;-)

My brother has this underground CD from this really cool DJ (don't remember his name) but he made a kick ass remix, dancey-type version of that song...it never fails to put a smile on my face. :-)

13. I'm a little tea pot
Short and stout,
Here is my handle,
Here is my spout.

When I get all steamed up,
Hear me shout,
Tip me over,
And pour me out.

That and Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Hey, I was a kid.
