The future of IT in America... video game programming?! |
|
"Game design and development"
Uh-huh. Last I heard, anything IT that doesn't require anybody here in America can be moved overseas.
Who would truly sign up for this course, only to realize how boned he is when he hears that in the middle of 2005, more programming jobs than ever are going overseas. Especially by the movie studios who are starting their own gaming divisions.
Sad.

1. The only jobs left at my IT places deal with mail and claim storage |

But I was actually thinking about taking Game Programming classes, and then moving to Japan. I figured the culture shock would be too great.

If my body was in better condition (along with compensating for the ADD deficiencies), I'd try programming too.
My destiny is either photojounalism, or death. Of course, with Captain Catastrophy* as president, I doubt neither of us need bother in terms of long term career plans. The Earth will be a radioactive cinder, circling a sun that couldn't care less.
