31 years ago today, we lost BOBBY DARIN.
On December 10, 1973, Bobby Darin called for an ambulance to take him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Suffering from congestive heart failure, he slipped into a coma on December 18th and died two days later. The singer/actor was 37 years old.

RIP, paisano! :yourock:

6. I remember it too
My best friend was having a pajama party and we had a seance to see if we could communicate with him from "beyond the grave".

Also, Bobby Darin was very affected by what was going on in the 1960's and for a while, he sang mostly protest songs including songs by Bob Dylan. I think he even changed his name to "Bob Darin". He also quit wearing his toupee.

3. I wonder if "Beyond the Sea" (Kevin Spacey biopic on Darrin) will be
any good.

4. I've heard it's pretty good,
and that Spacey's Darrin is spot on. The only problem is the fact that Spacey plays him throughout his life and it's a little hard to believe a 40 year old playing a 20 year old.

Apart from that, it's all good.

5. Bobby Darin was the ultimate in "cool"
I don't think Kevin Spacey can come close.

7. Here in Kansas City.....
one of the local TV stations was featuring Sandra Dee/Bobby Darrin movies all that week on the Million Dollar Movie - the station briefly debated whether or not to continue showing the SD/BD movies in light of Bobby Darrin's untimely death.

They showed the movies.
