I'm inclined to say you pay half and the other two pay a quarter and a quarter, but you do share the REST of the apartment right?

When I was in school we did it that way. Anyone who got a bedroom to themselves paid more in rent. After all, you get total privacy for all that sex.

The place is more than the bedroom, I assume. You all share the living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc. Are you willing to pay twice as much as one of them? That seems pretty extreme, unless your folks are loaded and it's not your money you're spending.

Different rental amounts for different room mates never works. However, you should provide some additional benefit to the household. This could be something like paying for something small, or being responsible for some cleaning task. If they are a couple, tell them to stop bitching, and to each pay their third of the rent. Don't let couples pull that "We should count as one room mate." crap on you. They share the room because they want to. It's their choice. It's their cost.
