The only really "graphic" part is at the end. I'm of the segment of it's audience that found it seriously fucking boring, and I usually love a good dark++ road movie. And I USED to like Vincent Gallo...
As for it showing in your area, I saw it at an "art house" indy theatre in Vancouver; I don't think it ever went "wide", or even "limited" release, so unless you live in a big city you may have to wait for the DVD. (And I'd personally consider THAT a tragic waste of those little plastic disks...)
But please don't take my word for it...
